Whitehorse Toastmasters captured the Travelling Award Gavel (TAG) from Hawthorn Toastmasters Club!

TAG History

The rules are pretty simple. At the District Convention when the District Governor is elected she/he is presented with the Travelling Gavel to take back to their home club. Here it stays until a club visits them with a minimum of three members who all take on roles in that club meeting. At the end of the meeting the trophy is passed on and the new club that has possession of the Travelling Gavel lets Southern Cross editor know so its location may be announced in the newsletter. Should two or more clubs be involved in the club visit - there will need to be a vote by the incumbent club on which club made most valued contribution to the meeting.
